Hi everyone!

I have an electrode to make on copper to burn a very small thread (10-32 UNC) to form the plastic, is there a way to make it with Mastercam solid? if it's in the C-hook, is it an add on? what is the name of that C-hook?

Any help would be greatly appreciate.

thanks

Welcome to the board ,Allen ! cheers.gif

Sure ,there is a way

For ver 9 build your basic geometry ,then solid ,then using create->next menu->spiral/hellix build hellix representing your thread geo ,build section ,perp to hellix (thread profile ) and make solid ->sweep with boolian remove

HTH

BTW ,that`s what I do all the time ,electrodes for threads ,I do not build models ,

I use toolpath->contour+ramp by depth + 1 way ramping for opened contours and deselect

make path at final depth and deselect linerize

hellixes

See LIDT cthread where you will find also example files

Take note :

All mentioned ther files moved on Jay`s FTP to the Iskander_Lazytricks folder
