O/T CimcoEdit whitespaces

Hey Cimco jockeys

I fooled around a little with this and couldn't figure it out [maybe I stewpid?]:

Is there a way to configure the Insert Whitespaces function to stop Cimco from putting a space before the pound [#] sign?

My program has this: X#101

Cimco keeps doing this: X #101

Can this be modified?

Thanks

C

He's not with them anymore; too bad 'cuz he was a cool guy to deal with...

I only use the macro that requires this on a couple machines so that's where I have the problem; my POS software strips spaces no matter what..

We just ordered DNCMax so in a few months we'll be STYLIN'

Yes,I kinda figured this not seeing it on his avatar.

Still doesn't mean that he couldn't give ya some advice here.

It's not like all of a sudden he forgot everything just cause he moved on....

No definitive solution but - I would look at the following

Transmission, DNC Setup, MachineTab, Setup, Receive, And toggle the settings on the Remove Characters. The default that I have is set to None and I wonder if there are some funky characters that the machine is throwing out that need to be stripped.

My only other solution is the old Search and Replace where you search (X #) and replace with (X#) but this isn't the right solution , only a Work Around.

I'm not using Cimco for transmission right now so its a matter of inserting the spaces when I need to edit or examine a program for some reason; makes it easier for me to decipher..

I do the 'Replace' method now but it is a PITA

Thanks for the suggestion, though

I just got DNC MAX also!

Hope to have it up and running by middle of next week!

WUHOO!

No more communicating with 1 machine at a time.

THAT is a PITA!

Now I just need to figure out how to drip feed to my Okuma mill without spending the 5K for the option.

It's too bad they put that as an option because that control processes the code pretty fast.
