Make sure the tool offset number is the same for both operations. If you have T0101 for

the facing OP and T0102 for the turning OP

it may cause the tool to run home between OPS.

Try posting with the generic mpfan post off the disc. It should do both OPs before going home if the T# is the same for both cuts

You might also try using a single finish toolpath and chain the face and the od pass in their respective (different directions). Use Auto cutter comp and Mastercam will run the facing pass comped left and the od pass comped right. If you have roughing to do I'd suggest a single roughing path that takes care of the excess face stock.
