Thermal form fixture

We received a complex surface model of a part and we need to make a thermal forming fixture. I need to extend the surfaces by 1/2 inch and then have a 10 deg draft from there.Is there a quick way to make this happen.

I haven't done a lot of manipulating surfaces with Mastercam, but I bet someone here can help you out.

Go to Surfaces/Next Menu/Trim or Extend/Untrim and see if you can untrim the surfaces. Then extend the sufaces past the amount you need. I would then create a boundary for your 1/2 distance you are looking for. If that does not work you can create a draft surface from a surface curve created from the part you have. There are many ways to apporach this and really without a file would be suggesting thing that may or may not work.

isnt 10 degree alot of draft???we go 3 degree teh most on our thermoform molds ...
