Off-set a curve line

Hi All

 

I'm Making a few stamps for a die, My question is how do you off-set the curve line in a letter

like a C , straight line I can off-set by create line/parralle and then off-set distance. But the curve I need help with.

From the Main menu select Xform then offset...

Your a Pro-E guy right ? How did you like that system ? I used Catia for about six years all together and liked it alot. I am actively looking fo a new job and Pro-E might be a requirement some day since it's seems to be almost as common as Solidworks. At least in Power Generation anyway and that's what I want to get back into if I can.

I think its just a learning curve thing, Mcam is taking a lot to get use to. With Pro/e and Pro/man, A part can be machined, and then if you modified the part, you can just regenerate it in man and your good to go, With Mcam it take a few more clicks...

But there's more than one way to skin a cat...

So I guess it's all about the clicking..

p.s. it's always better to know more than one system, that the way I feel away.
