Help Connecting to Acramatic 2100

Hi,

Does anyone know what are the configurations for connecting PC to Acramatic Vickers 2100 controller, Cincinnati Milling machine? Protocol/Baudrate/Parity/Cable config/delay/special header on the file ..

I made the cable as shown on the manual and set 9600 baud rate and tried changing everything I could imagine(parity/stopbit/xon_off) on both ends but couldn't succeed. frown.gif

Uploading to controller:

The best I got when send file from PC to controller is, PC shows sending file but nothing appears on controller.

Downloading from controller:

I had to cancel sending file from controller to PC as well since nothing happened on the ends. banghead.gif

Thanks in advance

P.S. Using CIMCO for data transfer.

I could not help noticing the toolbar.

There is a certain icon that looked familiar... headscratch.gif

While it is possible that kwolf may be able to network to his machine in his situation, it always good to point out what can be done. Users are sometimes not aware of the useful! things they can do with their controllers .

I have the 2100 controller on a Tree cnc mill.

In run my settings at;

Parity is ASC11

Baud rate 115200

Parity 7

data bits even

stop bits 2

none

Xon Xoff

Handshaking is set for "software"

Echo terminal emulation is checked

Display to screen is checked

All other boxes not checked

I use port number 3 because I have the wire edm hooked up to port #1

hope this helps, Paul
