good day all,

i was looking to see if anyone out there had any expeirience with madaco pallet changers?

we are looking at adding another makino mill to our floor. it would possibly be a S56 with a madaco pallet.

any feed back good or bad

we use a midaco pallet system here... but insteed of having that rack bolted to the front of the machine we made our own custom setup basicly we took there pallet rack and mounted it to a die table one on each side so you can pull one pallet out of the machine then swing the die table pallet system around and load the other pallet its great for swapping out vises to the rotary or pallet to another pallet but for production changes it gets alittle tiring rolling this several hundred pound pallet cart all day long if i get a chance ill post some photos its great for what we intended it for the best part is theres no big rack bolted to the front of the machine that you have to climb over all the time and you can do machine change overs in minutes ...

thanks greg,

it looks the the set up we would get gets mounted to the side of machine.when it swaps pallets a door opens up and the table would move to the corresponding spot to shuttle them.

it sounds like yours is manual,if im understanding your set up correctly. ours would be fully auto.
