How many of you have machined your company logo just for something to sit out for customers to see?

If you could post some pics or screenshots.

Leandro, you are not really suppose to use the main Mastercam FTP to share files on the board.

So I got your file and put it on this boards FTP in the MC9 folder under a folder called Copmany logos.

We laser mark our logo on most of our parts [and our fixtures, gages, etc as our laser guy is logo-crazy] but we haven't machined one yet

How did you put that screen cap in your post? did you post it online and then insert the link?

Yes Eastech...I put the photo in my photobucket album and then posted the link to it using the full reply form in this forum. Use the preview post to make sure you have it the way you want it before posting. ~~~~~~~Shady

This is a good time to check the size of the picture and maybe go back to photobucket to resize.

You can resize your pic, re-up it to photobucket and as long as you keep it the same name (overwrite it), the new, smaller pic will show up here at the forum.

The reason i asked this is because my boss has authorized me to make something like a sample part, something complex but just for looks and put our company logo on it.

specv ...did you happen to look at the cube in a cube thread in off topic? Looks pretty neat when finished and has plenty of places for company logos ...phone numbers or whatever. ~~~~~~Shady

Yes Nathan I did engrave them...McMaster Carr sells some real nice mirror finish aluminum....looks awesome but it costs around 30 bucks for a 12 x 12 piece.

I wish the boss would spring for Art..but I dont see it happening quite yet. Looks like it would be alot of fun, judging by your example.~~~~~~~~~~Shady

I was fortunate in that one of my first tasks when I came on board at Eastech was to become the local art Guru. It's been a great deal of fun. I wish the tool paths had rough and finish cuts like surfaces, but it's really no problem for me to have to different posted files.

 

I'll have to pick up some of that mirror aluminum. It would come in handy with a project I'm working on for mother's day.
