zero length line

Hi there;

Has anybody seen "zero length line" warning, do you know haw to deal with it?

I get this warning when I try to open some files but when I OK the warning it continues to load the file, sometimes I get so many of them and takes time to seat there and OK the warnings to let it go, from another hand I don't know if it doesn't bring any entity in.

I get it alot too just put a weight on the enter key and let it bring it in

are these native MC files you are opening or are you converting files?

Converting or MC files don't matter, these are IGES files where I convert to MC and open as MC but warning wont go away.

well, you can at least get rid of the warnings showing up on screen while importing the igs files...im not sure if they will show up after youve saved the imported file as an mc9 and open it again...

 

but when you choose to import an igs file, in the dialog box that comes up, set the "Send errors to" option to file instead of screen and you shouldnt see any more of those warnings.

 

as far as getting them when opening native mc files, you might try tightening up your system tolorence by a decimal place or 2...If that doesnt help, I think Matt Q's suggestion about putting a weight on your enter key is as good as it gets

I've found that's if you have the "Create edge curves" option checked in the import dialogue

 

MC has problems creating the curves while importing, but you can create them yourself after the import without hassles.
