FPT Site?

Anyone else having trouble going onto the FPT site?

I've never visited the ftp site but I just tried too. No success.

If you are a Firefox/Mozilla user try downloading Filezilla.

Are you saying IE want work to connecto to the FTP site?

IE will work but you have to set it to active mode. I'm sorry if that last thread was not clear about it.

I did have a problem the other day though....

 

It's the 3'rd time I have had to reset my internet settings to default.

 

Dunno what keeps changing the

Don't want to seem stupid but what do you mean by active mode for IE. Thanks. How do you set it up?

In IE

 

Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Tab/Then under the browsing heading make sure Use Passive FTP is Unchecked.

 

Click apply and that should take care of your issue.

My system crashed. They swiped it clean reloaded

windows XP and I still can not get to the FTP site.

Don't know what to tell you Threept82,

 

If your settings for IE are correct, as stated above, then the issue would seem to me to be on your IT people.

Threept82 could you be behind a company firewall?

As Jmparis said have you talked tothe it people there?

threept82 also try tools/internet options/advanced/ restore defaults in case something else got changed.

 

This setting is on the top of the internet browser above the house icon.

Even if you're an IE user, you should still consider downloading FileZilla

And then to import Jay's FTP site info into FileZilla, download this (right-click and choose Save Link As).

Figured out Filezilla. Ftp site doesn't look the same through it but I can get to it now.
