Reverse Posting?

Recommended Posts

I have never had any luck with reverse posting but, depending on how complicated a program it is, you could delete all the m and g codes, feed rates and speeds and rename just the x and y values as an ascii file. When you convert the ascii file in Mastercam it will give you points at those locations to create geometry from.

It does work but you will get a piece of geometry for every line of code. If it's a complex part, it will be messy and hard to decipher. If it's something simple (i.e. 2d engraving or contour) it won't be so bad and will only require a little cleaning up.
