problems using windows xp

i have just installed mastercam on a computer with windows xp on it and i lost some functions on the keybord. esc doesnt work neither the number buttons. has anywone heard about this problem? its only in mastercam that i lose these functions!

That's a new one.

We have XP Pro on our shop pc and no problems like that have happened.

 

Maybe try to re-install Mastercam and see what happens.

Also make sure that you have all of the updates for XP,your video card drivers,and Mastercams newest patches?

i have loaded all new patches and tryed to re install the program but its the same thing. Starting to wonder if the IT support guy we have has blocked to much of the functions ón the rest of the computer.

I would say this a problem with the computer.I hae never seen that before and I am support for are Office.

 

Have the IT look at this box.

Have you tried a different keyboard??

Is it a USB keyboard?? I've had them do some pretty weird stuff.

Was Mastercam installed under an administrative login?

I don't know about ya'all, but the first xp computer I had running with version 8.1.1 I needed to install a driver for it, I thought version 9 had the xp driver included, something to check......

So danielp... when you start Mastercam, and for example, press Create in the left hand menu, pressing the Escape key doesn't take you back to the "Main Menu". Is that correct?

 

From the Main Menu, you can press "C", "A" and "2" as keyboard shortcuts to get to the function Create, Arc, Circ 2pts. Just confirm for us please, that pressing "2" doesn't get you into that specific feature. Are the numbers not working either above the keyboard or on the number pad on the right hand side?

hey guys i got it working now! The it support we hawe messed up the computer somehow! So when we installed xp again everything sems to work perfect!
