CNC Router tooling

I am working on a demo for a possible customer and need to find a bull mill for use on a CNC router. I have contacted onsrud and whiteside and belin, but I can't seem to find a place to get one. I would like to find a flat 1/2" total diameter with a .25 corner radius. If any of you router guys out there know where I can find this, I'd appreciate some advice.

A 1/2 inch diameter tool with a .25 radius is a Ball End mill. With those specs, there is nothing left for a flat. (Or am I missing something?)

1/2 inch tool .125 radius.

I don't know if these will work for you but, Destiny Tool makes one (p/n V23220R125) in their Viper series or Garr makes one also.

What exactly are you looking for. Do you want a standard router bit (ie straight flute) or are you looking for an endmill. We buy almost exclusively from Onsrud for our router bits, but go through Amana for router bits with corner radii. If you are looking for an endmill, we have had really good results from Dataflute.HTH

They have a tool that is what you want although it has a mid bearing on it. It's their R2420A Cove Plunge Bit with centre ball bearing.

www.endmill.com will get you to Melin Tools. They have a carbide 4-flute listed.

 

We have used one of their 3/4-in, 2-flute cobalt tools with a .125 corner radius.
