I open a MC9 file in MCX .NCI name comes in cd0123 for example. Then I change the machine to the one I want for that job.It renames the nc name to MACHINE _GROUP_1NC.NC?

So I lose the .NC name that I had for that Toolpath in V9.

I cant allow this, all my Toolpaths have to be traceable.

Thanks in advance cheers.gif

MCX is making NCI file names difficult to control. I talked to my dealer about this issue. To change NCI file names; within the operations manager, go to the top and expand the Machine Group. Then choose properties, files, toolpath name. Change the name and save. The only way to have mutipal file names is to open a new Machine Group.....How BOGUS!

This is not correct.

You can have different filename for every operation if that's what you need.

Right click/ Edit Selected Operations/Change NC name

You can do this to one operation, a bunch of operations, a toolpath group, a machine group or

an entire file.

Gcode,

After opening the V9 file I change Machine I lose the .nc name. So I right click on Toolpath group, Edit selected operations,Change NC file name, a dialog Box comes up defaulted to C:MCAMXLatheNC I don't save my Files to the C:

Why can't I select where the file is stored????

How do I choose a diferant directory?
