Tool path names

Where are tool path names defined?

In V9 on my probing cycles in the operations manager above the parameters folder the description of which custom cycle I was using would be shown there.

ie. ID PROBE

In X that same thing does not happen.

Now it says

Custom drill cycle #10 [WCS Top] - [Tplane: Top]

Is there a way to change it so it looks like it did in V9.

It was real handy for me looking thru quickly to determine how my probing cycles were laid out.

I see where the WCS and Tplane can be turned on/off

When I go into my control def > Text > Mill canned cycle descriptions.

Under the description heading on the left most part of that page I see all of the path descriptions and right next to that is the drill cycle descriptions.

On the left it reads "Custom drill cycle #10"

On the right it reads "ID PROBE"

On the right one I can click and edit that but the one on the left is one I want to change and it seems to be locked out.

It's not a listing from inside the post I have read the entire thing looking for "Custom drill cycle #10"

The is not one that reads #10

only 10

So I wonder if there is a way to edit the left side descriptions?

It is in your post. In version you had a post file and a text file. In X they combined them. Open your post and look at the bottom. you will see all the stuff about the drill cycles nd custom drill cycles. this is where you change it I think. It is where I renamed all my other drill cycles.

HTH

Make sure to make a backup of pot file first!!!

I know all about the listings at the bottom of the post being the not defunct .txt file.

This listing is not in the post, unless there is text that now needs to be added into the post.

Which I tried to no affect.

This as a V9 post updated to X. Works as described above in V9 but not in X.

Any ideas?

No Murlin, not looking for the NC name.

Looking to change the names of the drill cycles themselves. In V9 this was possible, it does not appear to be in X.

I have many custom drill cycles that I would like to change the name of so the listing does not simply say custom drill cycle #10.

It used to be handled inside the post but that no longer is the case.

Yup, edits the right side of the window. I have that done but that does not affect your cycle name in the OP manager.

The left side is what I need to change and there is no apparent way to do this.

I have all those changes too my drill tabs come up with the correct descriptions.

In the ops manager when you use your cycle

what does yours say

I get

custom drill cycle #10 (WCS - TOP) (Tplane - TOP)

I am not talking about the drill cycle tabs I am talking about the displayed name of the cycle in the Ops manager.

Mind you in V9 it worked as I described
