Is there a hot ket to repeat the last command in X?

In V9, you were in the command until you escaped out. Is there a way to do this in X?

Is it me or does the topic line not add up with the question?

 

BTW,

 

esc key, still works for me.

 

The MRU toolbar can be active on the right side of the screen for your last used commands.

Ok. Sorry. How's this:

 

I would like to repeat the last command using one keystroke...the same key stroke for all commands. Like ctrl-R or Shift-R etc. Is there a way to do this in X?

Does one mouse click count? How about the MRU list on the right side of the screen, assuming you have it enabled.

 

OK, so it's not exactly the answer to your question, but have you been using Apply (round blue circle with a white cross) instead of OK (green check mark)? Other than only a few places (that I'm aware of), using Apply keeps you in the fuction while OK performs the function and then exits out. Just in case you didn't know....

Ok. Guess I'm just going thru weaning myself from the hot keys I've gotten so used to.

You can assign hot to keys (settings, key mapping) to perform such tasks as you wish (Example shift-R or whatever). You just need to define what you want them to do in the key mapping config.

in X2 or X3......as metalflake ask 3 yrs ago.....can you set a hotkey to use the last command?

 

MRU is enabled........i'd rather hotkey then mouse click if it is an option.
