hey guys do any one of you know how to apply this feature, I've been trying to use it but I probably not following the right procedure.

don't use default values on roll page

 

you must have values in position, chordal dev, angle....(default is zero....won't work)

 

experiment with different values

Not sure if you mean how to use it or what to use it on.

 

Ken is right about changing the default values.

 

Xform roll is used to wrap 2D Geometry around a radius.

 

I just finished programming a job that is a .625" Rd tube that has ruler graduations and numbers along it's length. I used Xform Roll to wrap the numbers around the radius so that we wouldn't lose the tops and bottoms of the numbers

I have used it only a few times (in V9) and you have to make sure that you are in the right cplane for it to come out right or it will not look right especially if un rolling

I have found it works best if you draw your geometry on the center of the Cplane. When it is rolled it then moves up in z axis the radius amount. Also of in the Postioning box click on Angle and -90. This should Keep it in the same postion just raised up and rolled. Then it can be moved to where you need it. There may be an easier way of going about it but it works for me . Hope I have confused you more with me explanation. hehe
