I've been reading the Forum search about the problems X has with printing.I needed to print my first page from X today and it does not work.

Is it working for you guys now with Sp1?

Or is it still not right?

When I went to print preview half was missing the funny thing was the other half got printed.

Funny you say that.I had a drawing of a tool I needed custom made, it was dimensioned for the Tool grinder. I could not get it to print from MCX. So I did a Print screen and pasted it into Paint. But Im running duel monitors so I got a pic of both screens.

The Tool grinder rep was laughing.

It's a good thing you noticed it, David. He would've charged you twice as much. biggrin.gif

David, try changing your graphics background color to anything but black, then while still in the colors page, click "customize" and select black. Now see if you can print. Printing has a problem with the color 0 for background. Now your background appears black, but it isn't color 0.

I have 7 solids on my screen and some dimensions. The dimensions print the solids dont.I tried shaded and unshaded.V9 use to ask if you want the solids shaded?

Does MCX have a prob printing solids?

No problems here, BUT I am using the Gradient Background colors of #241 & #255.

I did this and no change only printing dimensions.

I too was only getting dimensions at the printer. Made the following change and fixed that problem for me:

Settings, Configuration, Printing, Color (checked ON).

Printing in X is still unsatisfactory since I don't always want color output, and random line widths (sometimes so light they can barely be seen). I'm using an HP Deskjet 6540. I hope printed output improves with MR1.
