I would especially reccommend(sp?) solids for 2D stuff. You can machine directly off the solids. One day of training would be sufficient(not to learn everything but to get a good basic foundation on the principles)

The reason that prices don't get quoted here is because the prices vary in diferent parts of the world due to tariffs, taxes, etc......

I will say it will save you it's cost though and it is well worth it.

Hi,

 

The way I learn a solid model is by using a book, called "Mastercam Solids" written by Dr.S.C. Jonathon Lin, published by Scholars International Publishing Corp. Also from the "HELP" button on Mastercam Software. I think this would help you to learn a solid model.
