Can anyone get to the ftp or just registered forum members?

Curious Jim

Basically any one can get there.

But only that folder I am in the middle of changing it so you nice folks can not make folders.

Sorry security reasons.

Ok fixed it.

It was wearied but if you used IE you could not make folders and a few other things.

But if you used some thing like CUTEFTP you could in the main dir and in the mastercam ftp and put any files you wanted.

Well not any more.

I dialed out and took care of that.

But you should still be able to load and take the files you want in the mastercam dir.

Enjoy folks.

I am glad that you folks like having the FTP and use often.

Have a grand day sorry for the long wind.

Bullines it is part of Win2k server.

So some of it has to do with Active directory

On passwords and settings.

But I dug a little deeper last night for the extra setting on folder and directories.

All so is any one haveing trouble now getting into the FTP that could get in before?

Bullines,

I have heard good thinks about that FTP software.

As for the problems with the Server FTP.

It was me just not try all the different scenarios to make sure of what people can do & not do.

Then this folder popped up in my main Dir.

So it made me look at the loges and how it came about.

And I figured it out.

So now I tightened up the FTP.

But none of my stuff was violated so that’s a good thing.

I have had to follow-up on security a patch that’s for sure.

But all in all I like win2k.
