contour not found

When doing a toolpath it says

contour (2d) not found in your operation defaults

file C:/mcam8/mill/ops/defaults.df8

So I press the ok button and I still can run toolpath , wondering why I get error.

You should reload your DEFAULT.df8

I've put mine on the FTP in "post and text..."

Or- you can easily re-create the file if you don't have a copy handy.

NC utils/define ops/defaults. A window will appear attempting to access your "default defaults"file.Hit save at this point and the file itself will be re-created. Do a 2d contour and put up with the error message the first time. Then in your ops manager right click and select "save to library". In the resulting window click the "select" button (on top)andon the next window scroll down on save as type to "all files".

Select the defaults file you created in the first chapter. I do this every time I load Mastercam (I first delete the defaults file!) to make sure all of my desired defaults get saved. Each subsequential toolpath will end up with defaults identical to the op you saved. Long winded but I'm sure it works. Good luck-

Create a new default 2D contour.

Nc Utils - Def. ops - Defaults - save and it in there.
