X + setup sheet

I am not sure what file to manipulate so I can configure the setup sheet. Any help would be appreciated. I am very happy with it, just like to tweak some things.

You fiddle around with the .SET file. Looks similar to a post file.

The X+ uses an xss file. I have been wondering the same thing. What file do you edit? XSS will not open with excel.

 

I love the setup sheet I just get complaints about the tl_nr or whatever the abbreviation is its using.

I have various .set files for different setup sheets. I am not sure the X+ uses the standard mill.set?

It appears something called Ability software opens it. I am downloading a trial version now. I will keep you posted how i make out.

after installing X+, you should have a new toolbar called X+.

 

You start the setupsheet with

 

From there you can config the output i.e:

tool descriptions, output field options, cycle time, etc.

You can also save as many conigurations as you like.

 

But notice, it supports only Mill at the moment.

You can set the number of decimal places in windows-system-control.

This is a very useful tool.

 

An XML based template would be really helpful.

This way users could customize the output themselves .

yes, I thought alrady about XML and XSL, but the reason why I developed XSetupsheet was to have an easy customizable setupsheet for the user.

So, my question is: How many mastercam users are familiar with XML and XSL?

Where exactly can I change this decimal place setting? Inside control panel?

In Windows XP go to:

 

Start->Control Panel->Regional and Language Options->Customize (Regional Options Tab)

 

You can control the number of places after the decimal from here.
