Error no op file

Has anyone seen this one.

 

I have a fixture design all done.

 

I am trying to import it into my part file.

The entire fixture is on 1 level, I use file/merge pattern and then I get an error, no matching op file. I get everything except for the fixture plate itself.

 

I f I open the file everything is there, nothing needs to be regenned, no apparent errors.

 

Any ideas?

this sounds strangely familiar John, I think MAYBE putting fix plate on unused level in part file will allow a smoother migration.

 

hope that's it, I know I've had that happen to me but my memory sucks.

Wow, I am as bad as Lou I know I had that problem and I resolved it on my own but can't remember what caused it. I'm trying to remember what I did.

I remember what I did. I'm not sure if this will help in your situation but it was ok in mine.

 

I exported it out as parasolid file which removed the solid parameters from it and merged it into the second file.

X ships with a chook called "nohist".

It strips the tree out of a solid and turns it into a featureless brick. Of course you loose the abilty to edit a solid once you've run nohist, but it will solve the no op file error.

 

I got kept getting this alarm on a file I was

never hurt me either. I really have no idea why it was happening.

I wound up bring the part intot eh fixture file and saving it as my part name.

 

 

No idea at all what was causing it.

The no matching op file error goes way back...

 

I haven't been able to figure it out either...
