Modify Break

When I pick Geo to break

shouldnt my mid point highlight etc.

Then thats where Geo gets broken?!

Do I have to draw a line through the mid point?

Quick questions. Do you have the point option selected in the break type? (this is the last one after the divide function) Do you have mid point selected on your autocursor?

I think you have to use your auto cursor if you want to break at midpoint.

I have to use B,P otherwise my auto cursor won't pick up on anything

selecting B selects the Break option and P selects the auto cursor point option. (just like hevymetl said) you can also just select the appropriate icons on the trim ribbon bar.

i like using the keystrokes. sometimes the icons

seem a little touchy to me.like when i create a

rectangle i find it easier to keystroke w and h

and enter my values.i also use h and v for drawing

lines.thats the good thing about x.there is more

than one way to do things.whatever each person is

more comfortable with.

Tony, maybe this will help.

 

From another thread...

Break is under the trim funtion in MCX. Select Edit-Trim/Break. On the right side of the ribbon bar you can select Break. Then on the left side of the ribbon bar, select "trim to point." Now select your entity. Select your break point by letting autocursor snap to it, or by selecting from the general selection bar.

you guys answered my qustion.

i was just messen with this this morning and getting ready to put this out for an answer.

it works bolth ways b-p and selectind the icons.
