we are getting F0's in a rough parellel and finish parellel path on G3 lines in the xz plane. The tool has all feed rates filled in, feed, plunge and retract. if i turn the filter off the program is good, but too long. Any ideas why this would be happening?

feed calculation is set "from tool". The really strange thing is, i can't get this post a f0 again. Earlier i had two different computers posting it, now I can't get either on to. Must be a Friday case of not thinking clearly.

Thanks for the response Roger.

You want to use one way filtering. It has to do with how the points are linked together, within the tolerance you specify. It's just like if you dimensioned a print from the left and also from the right.

"One Way" calculates all the filtered points from one side, within the tolerance you specify. No tolerance mismatch from left to right. I think it's especially important in Parallel cuts.

I usually get a F.0 on flowline tool paths and/or when using tang line entry under gap settings, In V9's post I added if feed = 0, !feed, however in X I had to modify it to if feed <= .001, !feed

Qmp,

first off keep in mind that I am a hack 'n slash with posts, second backup your original, third use at your own risk.

I added the statewments to the "plinout" and "pcirout" before the code that is already there (no ", e"

thanks,
