partial flow edge error detected

I put a file on the ftp site under mcx, surface problems. I am getting this alarm when i try to use a rough or finish flowline. I tried using solid face, and i created a surface, still getting the same thing, i dont see what i am doing wrong, i even remade the solid and tried it again, with the same error. I think flowline would give me the best results for what I am trying to do, could someone please take a look at this for me

well I got a parallel tool path to work out ok, but i still cant get flowline to work out, is there a reason i can do a parallel surface, and not a flowline

i don't have a good understanding of these warnings, but i think the conflict is because the flowlines do not work together in this case. one option is to do separate flowline toolpaths. maybe two. or using a parallel seems like a good choice here.

The more surfaces that you're cutting, the more problems you'll have flowline. I never use it just because of that.

 

It could have something to do with your surface normals.

did you try using the single flow check box. they are right if the two surfaces cant align you will not be able to use flowline unless you seperate them

You also want to stay away from flat endmills (no rad).

thanks alot guys, the parallel toolpath actully works alot beter then i thought it would. is there a tool path that you may recomend to use over parallel for a part like this?

Where do I find this? I see single row only, is this what you mean?

I opened your file you can pick the top 3 surfaces together then the bottom one in a seperate op click single row may not be perfect with the flat endmill but close

Yeah you guys are right, it just dosnt like all the surfaces together, when i do it in 2 operations, it is fine, I was just think in 1 opp that it may create a smoother finish. thanks alot for all the help
