graphite mill suggestions

we are looking for a graphite mill for production. so far the roku-roku looks good . any other suggestions from the forum

makino has a great graphite machine I just seen it in chicago!

We have a Mikron that is very, very quick compared to the Bostomatic we used to have.

The Bostomatic was awesome I thought as it had a

30000 speed spindle, great accuracy, and a great dust collection. the Bosto is now in Texas.

 

We can use the Mikron for hard milling steel and still be very accurate. The spindle runs 40000 rpm. It also has a pallet changer and you can run 4 electrodes on one pallet. It is a time saver compared to the Bosto.

One person programming can not keep the machine

running.

 

If you're trying to be competitive it's a good choice as we have personally witnessed.

Id say the roku is the way to go for graphite only.

roku is made for this if just doing graphite!

Makino, Makino, Makino. Roku will not compare with the Sgi.4 in the V22 controller. I have ran a heads up porgram on my SnC 64 and the Roku and I beat it by over 30%, because the Makino processed the code better. IMHO

I'd go with the Makino also. I've seen them in action and their SGI is great. Just my .02
