If the program is small enough to be stored in main memory you can transfer it into the nc memory and execute as normal, if not you can run it off of the card using the sub call. On the newer ones you can store the program in the 50 meg storage that comes with the base machine and run it out of there.

I was talking to on of the applications from the sales company today and we talked more along the lines of the ethernet connection and how to call and buffer. We don't store anything on our controls anymore. Either the files are way to large even for todays control memory or the programs are dissposable and would just need to be ran the once.

Yes, channel 4. But I'm pretty sure it's already set for that. He just needs to know the key strokes to get the pogram into the control I'm guessing. I don;t remember off hand, that damn CRAPPS interface...

Not in the shop so doing this from memory...On our Fanuc 18iMB...

 

to load to machine memory from a flash card:

 

Selector switch to "EDIT"

Press "SYSTEM" button under keypad

Press rightmost softkey under screen untill you see "ALL IO"

Press "ALL IO"

Press"OPRT"

Press "F READ"

Enter Program number on Keypad

Press "F SET"

Press "EXEC"

Press "PROGRAM" - Under keypad

Selector Switch to "Auto"

Cycle Start to Run................

 

To Delete a Program from machine memory:

 

 

Selector Switch to "EDIT"

Press "PROGRAM"

Enter Program Number to Delete (example O0001)

Press "DELETE"

 

i THINK this it how it works...i'll check in the morning and correct if necessary.
