Help me in 4 axis Milling machine

Please help me on 4 axis Milling machine. I would like to cut the twist - slot claming a shaft with the pitch about 50 mm.My machine controller is Fanuc 21M

Looks like a job for axis substitution to me...

definately axis substitution. What diameter is the part and what diameter is the slot? Over what distance?

If the walls at the end of the slots need to be perpendicular to the center axis of the cylinder, you'll need to use rolldie (c-hook). HTH

Dragracer1951 is right. I want to do that but I don't know how to work with MasterCam. We use where in milling toothpath (coutour, pocket... surface or multiaxis)?

This file I make from NX 3.0 and I have aldready export to MasterCam v9.1 under *.stl format.

STL format is a bad choice I would go for Parasolid

1. Scrub with ball nose: Multisurf 5 axis, use 4 axis output

2. Ground form tool: use a Contour toolpath, rotary-axis substitution-depth of cuts.

 

I would say start there with seeing the whole model, I cannot tell what the end condition is of the thread

either output as a Parasolid or a Step or if you have the UG converter you can bring the .PRT file right in and as a solid.
