Hello gentlemen, I was woundering if any of the experienced Haas lathe users could answer a couple of questions:
1.When using the touch probe, and touching off a drill, do you just Key in the X offset of some neg number to get it to center line?
Can you sweep the ID tool holder in and calc that position as X0 in the G54? Will it screw up the presetter?(that way if you want it to go to center, you leave the X offset 0)
2.Is there a position you can set where the tool always rapids to for indexing, like a G30 in Fanuc?
Thanks for everybody's time!
Is there a current hasp driver for Ver 9.1 to work with vista? I have read in this forum and other forums about vista.(has not beed very good)
Thanks in advance
Hello everyone, I did a search on set-up sheets for lathe work(did not return any results)
I was woundering what everybody uses or prefers?
Thanks in advance
Could anybody please Share a sample G-code program for a Haas Lathe.Nothing special, just how the program starts, How tool changes start, How tool changes end, and program ending.
By the way, does anybody use G30 for index positions on these machines? Is it easy to set?
Thanks in advance
Hey everybody, I have a question for all.
Can you make solid drill see the top of stock incrementally? Meaning if the there are shevles at different heights(Z levels),can you make it rapid incrementally from there. When you detect solid features in the solid drill toolpath it see's the start point and end point. If I set top of stock to incr, and set rapid position .1 incr it uses the bottom of the hole for the top of stock.
Hello all,I was wounder how you set the default perecent of matl cuttimg speed, and percent matl per tooth so it comes in at a 100% from the standard tool libiary parameter on a tool that comes in from the standard
1. Scrub with ball nose: Multisurf 5 axis, use 4 axis output
2. Ground form tool: use a Contour toolpath, rotary-axis substitution-depth of cuts.
I would say start there with seeing the whole model, I cannot tell what the end condition is of the thread
