What is the difference?

We have a new CTX320 linear millturn with a funuc control. the book states that it is set-up with GE Fanuc G code system B (A, B and C are the possibilities).

It also states, "Graziano S.p.A. in line with the majority of European manufacturers, has applied the code system type B".

Is there going to be a lot of difference from what we use here?

I will be starting with the GENERIC FANUC 4X MILL-TURN Defs and Post in X2. Any suggestions or opions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

ya, it has like 800 some M codes listed in the book alone. I want to start out getting the simple 2d lathe working then the millturn features and eventually the back spindle. It is going to be a long process and I'll be happy to share anything I learn. Any info to help me start out on the right foot will be greatly appreciated...again.

Gcode A is probably the normal standard on a lathe.

some differences,

A- G98,G99 = feed per min, feed per rev.

B- G94,G95 = Feed per min, Feed per rev.

"A" can use U,V,W and H for incremental while B and C use G91.

It seems Lathes are usually set to run A and Mills are usually set to B or C.
