M00/M01 behaviour and Mpmaster

Just want to get some feedback from the field.

 

When you hit cycle start after an M00/M01 do your spindle and coolant automatically come back on?

 

Would you like to see functionality in Mpmaster to force output of spindle and coolant after a canned text M00/M01?

On recent Haas and an Fanuc11M, coolant and spindle are not restarted.

Haas manual says that coolant and spindle are turned off and must be re-instated after.

 

I would like that function in mpmaster and lathe.

One thing you might consider add to the option, I coded it into mine.

 

I added another option for it to go home on the Y axis, center on the X0 and then M00.

 

Really hady for flipping parts over or having to change clamps.

The other I want to see is if prv_coolant=3

(spindle coolant) the option to call airblow

on the makino pro5 control the spindle and coolant do come back on then off.

but you can just hit reset then cycle start and it is fine

I've already coded it in for mine but yes, I think it would be a good thing to add.

If the M0 or M1 is output at the end of a toolpath then I wouldnt want it to output the commands.

 

But if its inserted somewhere else then yes.

OK,

 

Setup the M00 M01 refresh in a block called prestart. Seems to work quite well. Couple other very minor updates also...update on the web shortly.
