back plot dialog box

Can not find the back plot dialog box, i was using it yesterday, is there any way to turn it off & on or did i lose it on my screen somewhere?

I've never had this problem, but others on the forum have

I (THINK???) they fixed it like this

 

Open the Control Panel, then Mastercam X

check Dialog Postions and hit Apply.

 

you could also do a search of the forum but it would be tough as there are a lot of posts about backplot

I have this problem. QC can't nail it down and the fix Gcode mentioned doesn't work for me. I suspect it has something to do with dual monitor setups.

turned off one screen & the bock plot dialog box poped up, now i just hope that it doesnt go away when i turn it on

Your fix worked for me, running X2.

The checkbox resets dialog positions. It must reset all dialog positions for all dialog boxes?

If using dual monitors, your graphics card probably has settings on how to handle dialog boxes. Like, same as application, monitor 1, monitor 2, last used or default.

I've had it happen in SP1, but it was fixed in MR1 and MR1SP1. I'm on dual monitors. My work around was to make sure the Mastercam window was maximized the first time I started backplot. After that I could have it non-maximized and it would still show up.

I have dual monitors and have this problem if I move mastercam to secondary monitor without back ploting first.

 

If I back plot before I move mastercam to the secondary monitor back plot window shows up, then I can move mastercam where ever I want and window shows up. ?????

In X2-MR1 the Backplot dialogs remembers its last position, which is different than it worked in previously. This change makes it work just like the "other" dialogs. And this last position can be on a different screen, if that is where you left it.

(This is true of more than just the Backplot dialog).

 

You can reset all the dialogs to their "default" position using the Mastercam Control Pannel Applet

Settings -> Control Panel -> Mastercam X, and in the 'Reset groupbox', check the 'Dialog positions' and then click the Apply button.

 

 

I experimented with danbo's -

Start X and move it to the other screen first and saw no issues caused by this. The backplot dialog appears wherever I last left it, which as mentioned could be on the 'other' screen.

I have not experimented with this in X2-MR1. I just tried it , and it is fixed
