I need to make a CSA stamp on my sink edm. Does anyone have a cad file for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Is it possible to make it from a Jpeg or bitmap using the Raster2vector translator. Or will it be easier to try and draw it.

something like CE Certification for europe. CE Marking

The AI (Adobe Illustrator) file that I link to is a vector format file that can be read directly into Mastercam via the file open and it looks exactly like the picture shown above. There should be no need to e-mail or post file anywhere, but what do I know.

Doesn't he need Rast2vec to read an AI file?

Yes and No: Anyone with Version X can read a postscript file (EPS, AI, PS) in Version 9 this was avail only with Rast2vec.

Bernie the file you sent will work perfectly. I have a question about the Rast2Vec. How well does it work? Does the file need alot of work after you import it?

I used Rhino3D to read the AI file, then IGES to MC.

 

I have never used Rast2vec, from Allan's post above it sounds like it works fine.

 

Do a search for Rast2vec here in the forum, there has been quite a bit of discussion on it in the past.

I really like Rast2vec as long as you do the manual bitmap tracing. Works like a charm. I've done some pretty interesting artwork from scanned images using Rast2vec. Some really intricate chocolate molds with japanese characters and woodblock carving. The biggest limitation is the resolution of the bitmap image. The more pixels the better.
