Updates for windows xp

Has anyone had problems with backplot in X2 after installing the last updates for windows xp. Backplot is jerky and does not show tool, I had to uninstall the updates to get it back to normal.

Did it also update your video drivers?

 

Which video card, if it is an Nvidia make sure the back and front buffers are diabaled

I have the most current driver that I know of, my video card is a quadro4 900 xgl and I have turned off the back and front buffers. Where you able to reinstall the updates?

It won't allow me to disable back buffer.Says I have a predetermined setting. Any ideas.

Download the latest greatest drivers from Nvidia , uninstall your current drivers, reboot, say no when Windows wants to

"fx it", then install the new drivers.

Go into the Nvidia Advanced/performance settings

and disable Unified back/ depth buffer or

backplot won't run right.

Don't EVER let Windows update your video drivers.

It will hose them every time

in addition to un-installing:

 

MS07-013 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows, and Office (KB918118)

 

they are suspecting you have to un-install the following as well, to fully reverse the effects:

 

MS07-016 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer (KB928090)

MS07-005 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows Interactive Training (KB923723)

MS07-011 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows (KB926436)

That may prevent you from changing it

I reinstalled driver 84.26, changed profile to AutoCad, still can't unchecked back buffer but backplotting is working fine at the moment. Was also having trouble dimensioning, would kick me out of MC, but that is fixed for the moment.

Dimensioning problem is back. Happened on a different file.

 

EDIT:

I created my own profile, named it mycad and I was able to uncheck back buffer. Opened file that I could not dimension previously and it worked.WOO HOO
