Do I need to run my machine through a router? The way it is set up now the CAT 5 cable from the machine runs directly into its own network card on the PC.
Huskermcdoogle- My pc currently has a seperate network card that is directly hooked to my machine. Are there any spacific settings you were wondering about.
Allan
I do use Filezilla as well, but I have to go to the computer, open Filezilla, and connect to the machine each time I need to transfer a program. What I want to be able to do is stand at my control and load the programs from there. Is there something I need to configure differently? I'm sure I am just not understanding something completely.
thanks,
Hi James,
I actually have a similar question. I have a Mori Seiki sv-503 with a fanuc 16i controller. Right now the only way i can load programs is to use FTP software from a remote computer. I would like to be able to load them right from my controller, but I'm not sure how to set it up to do this. Any information you would be willing to share would be great.
Thanks
Check parameter 8485 bit 2. If it is zero helical interpolation is disabled in hpcc mode. Change it to a 1 to enable it. This is what we had to do to our mori with a fanuc 16i controller.
Have the same problem here if I turn off roughing it shows it correct so to get around this I've been breaking the toolpath into two the roughing uses computer and the finishing one uses control this seems to work for me if you don't need to use control wear works correctly.
Same problem here it will move the wire frame but leave the solid behind seems to work on surface models. If I close mastercam and reopen the same file it works called support and they said it was suppose to be fixed in mu2 they told me to reinstall
will see if that helps.
Yes we use it I either set it at the machine or put it in the program the same way greg described but with inch values and I use J2(high speed)for rough and finish the tighter you set the E tolerance the more it will slow the machine down.
