Cimnet DNC

Hi,

 

Looking for Cimnet user. Any Pro-Con's you may like to express. Do you use any of the multitudes of the module, If so which one's.

 

Cimnet is one DNC packages we are looking at.

John, the DNC issue has been covered pretty well in the recent months; I'd try a Search for 'Cimnet' and 'DNC' to find those threads.

There are a lot of options for DNC, most work just fine to send files to most machines. Do you want/need wireless? Not all wireless DNC's are created equal, drip feed wireless, send to a mazak wireless, remote calls wireless, etc... I would at least look at DLOG, Extreme DNC, Cimco DNC, etc... all have very good products. good luck!

Been there done that! As fare as Cimnet goes; I only found 4 responses dating from 2002 -2006.

 

I'm looking for are those who use Cimnet and there feedback. Are they using wireless, are they using any of the modules ect.

I set it up in the last place I was at. I did not use any of the extras with it. I had 3 verticals and 1 lathe set up on the hub. I had no issues with the DNC package.

 

Now the IT department that was another issue.
