Converting from ai to mastercam format

How do I change a adobe illustrator to master cam format.. Thankyou Rick

Rick there is an add-on for this called Raster to Vector or adding the Mastercam Art package for the stuff you do.

No this is for a customer that I design for. I designed in Ill. Cs2 and he wants to cut the design in Alluminum with mastercam 8.. I tried to save it in a dxf file but it won't open. it will only open a part of it. Where do I tell him to get the download. Thank you Rick

mastercam can read .ai files directly... look under Open, file type.

So far, Mastercam doesn't support the latest formats..... u need to save as previous version to get it open in MCX......in AI CS2 V12 ( the latest) save as file with a new name, the options pops up asking for the settings, from there u can save in older .ai formats.... AI version 8 has worked for me.

... sorry i didn't see that. never tried in V8 but in V9 there is .ai converter under File, Convert, Next menu, EPS.... not sure until what version it works on.

Yogesh it is listed but it will ask for Access codes.

Well Rick I know this not West Coast Cylnder heads as they have the latest.But if they are local I may be able to help both of you.

Not really...

Many times, spammers will do this....you can tell by going slowly over the text and many times you'll find a hyperlink hidden in a . or some other character...

in other cases is spammers trying to come back and edit later but there's only a window so long in which they can edit..so they'll come back later and either copy & paste another, hide a link or a new post that "seems" relavent but actually has athe above mentioned hidden link
