Lathe go bang.... almost

HI Guys.

I've had trouble with something in the lathe part of Mastercam that I can't figure out why it doe's what it doe's. When I go to finish parameters, pick a line (to face) choose the face/turn tool(cnmg431)change finish direction to

face, put compensation direction to left, all works great. Go on to the next operation. When I regenerate it crashes, I check the tool I had face and the finish direction has changed to o.d. and the comp. dir. has changed to right. 9 out of 10 times. Can anyone think of something I'm doing wrong? confused.gif

I think I know what you are having trouble with.

It seems to only do it on finish passes and only in backplot. The g-code generated will not crash but the backplot will.

I get around this by inputting a small value in my lead in under the add line. I usually put .050" at whatever angle my tool is coming from (almost always zero).

Hope this helps.
