X Form Roll\Unroll issues

Hi All,

 

I have a problem with X form Unroll. To my understanding this feature is not recognizing the Constuction plane. It seems to only work from the CAD file Origin coordinates

 

Ok I am trying to unroll the red spline to the constuction plane that is shown with the grid at XYZ0 so I have the following

 

The CAD file origin Z is the Red Line off to the right

 

I have set the Constuction plane to the Green Line this is confirmed by the Grid that can be seen at XYZ0

 

First the CW unroll

 

Now the CCW Unroll

 

 

Note that neither operation obays the Constuction plane

 

I am using X2 base release

I emailed you but if you didn't get it, did you solve this problem? curiuos because I'm having the same issue. probably simple but let me know.

Cant quite tell from your drawing what the c-plane is - but I have found when unrolling geometry it ends up at the unrolled radius number

not from the center of rotation - the

solution was to project the unrolled geo back to the center dim of the plane - seems like it should unroll to the center but it doesnt
