Lost defaults with SP install

I installed SP1 and I seem to have lost all of my toolpath default parameters (lead in/lead out, depth cuts, coolant, etc...). Where could I find this file so I get these back?

It is very frustrating that every time I install an upgrade or service pack I lose little things like this. It is a real headache to have to track all this stuff down to get things working correctly again. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

Not sure how to get them back, but to change the current settings, go into the Machine Group Properties in the toolpath manager. Click Files and look for the .Defaults file. Click the "!" and make the necessary changes. When you exit that, they will automatically be saved.

The easiest way NOT to lose then is create use a default "other" than the defaults.

MCAM will overwrite a system file, the "default" file, that is not the correct date for the installl.

If you use your own default file, named otherwise, it will not overwrite it.

I've also experienced these issues. I've changed the defaults back many times, but every time I open up Mastercam X or 9 it does not remember default settings or nci paths. I then have to regenerate all toolpaths. Our IT guys have given my pc full admin rights but the problem is still there. Any body have any help with this one out there????? headscratch.gif
