Solid Sweep Cut

I'm having trouble trying to draw an o-ring groove on the outside of a solid face that is a radius. I get an alarm that says the geometry isn't right. Can someone take a look to see whats going on with the drawing and what I need to do to be able to draw the o-ring groove

I assume you didnt want to go all the way around correct??

Looked like you only neede start to finish from the red-lines.

I need to use the chain that is color #73 on level 4

The o-ring need to follow the Color 73 chain. The chain being swept is color #4. Ignore all color #12 geom.

It looks like you got it. Why will this not cut out with only the one swept path?

Also did you rotate the the swept paths to get them to the end of the geometry?

I had to turn the splines on the ends to arcs and

I also did it in 2 halves.

I can't find where you change splines to arc's. I'm having a X brain fart.

The orange color arcs were splines in your file.

I got your drawing. Looks great. Were do I find the change splines to arc's?

Sorry I misunderstood you, I took half of one spline broke into 4pcs and created arcs (create arc 3 pts) on each

section.

I was then able to sweep the solid.

You can also do it sometimes with the Edit/Simplify... function.
