Solids Question

Just got the Solids option, so here's the first of whats sure to be a long list of questions....

 

I have a model created in ProE, exported as .x_t parasolid. When I open it, there are sections missing and I get this message, seemingly onece for each missing section...

 

 

Where lies the problem?

What version parasolid did you save it as?

 

Do you have the option of saving it as an older say version 13 parasolid?

V13 parasolid......i'll pass that on to the customer, and try again. Thanks, John

We have a customer that uses Pro-E and parasolids from them never work correctly.

 

When this happens I request a .stp file and that usually works.

 

Parasolids from every other customer work great...

i've had great luck with parasolid exports but i believe they came from native sdrc.

I'd have to agree with Matt If the files are coming from Pro E use .stp. I have always had problems with Pro E files in Mcam.
