Toolpath Editor

Good Afternoon,

 

I have been spending some time using the toolpath editor to change feed rates to rapid for air cutting on a part. I am doing a contour path making 10 Z passes. In the tool path editor I had to change the feedrate at each point for each cut depth??????? Is there an easier way? MasterCam needs to develop a way to use the backplot dialog box has an editor, so while you plot through your points you can have the option of editing it on the fly.

Why not set the feed plane to increment and have it rapid to .001 above the next cut. Or take out feed plane all together and have it rapid down to the next cut. I think this might be a matter of approach with the toolpaths verses things with the toolpath editor. Got a sample file and some sample code?

I created geometry to make the cut. The tool swings an arc and then move to next cut down in Z and repeats. MCX is on the way.

Can you use depth cuts?

I take it that solved your problem??? Also like asked above are using depth of cut or drawing chains at each depth??
