Surface Finish Tool Path Filter

Hello all,

We have Mastercam X2 MR2 I'm running a very simple surface finish parallel with machining angle at 90 deg., step over .005, 1/2 ball em. to generate a 5" rad. on a surface.

My problem is that I cannot seem to be able to apply a filter to this toolpath to generate arcs on yz plane.

Can any one help?

Are they turned on in the control Definition? Do you get an error when trying to do this? Are you seeing this in the NC code(thus is is a Control definition problem)? Have you tired the default machine and it works? Have you tired MPMASTER and it works? Need a little more information here.

Thank you for the quick responce.

No error it just doesn't give an option.

They are turned on in the control definition.

The nc code is generated point to point.

I have a custom build Fadal 4x mill post

I will try wiht the defult machine and the MPMASTER.

I tryed with the default and still no luck.

I should be able to turn it on on the toolpath parameters Right?

Or do I right click on the operation manager tree like MC9?

I also have MC9 and it has no problem generating arcs on yz or xz planes?

Dumb question, is the surface flat and you're trying to use the arc filter to get a radius on the surface?

the surface is generated on a 5." rad arcs

You need to click on the Total tolerance box and then set a ratio in the drop down to turn the filter on, then you have access to the other settings
