Chaining Problem

This might sound crazy, and perhaps I am a little bit. Say I have a square, now stay with me . A square has 4 sides all I want to do is use 3 sides with a contour path. when I chain them using the partial selection I get lead in and lead out lines generated with each chain.. Y Y Y.. I have gotten this to work before and I know it is a simple click.

But like I mentioned above I may be CRAZY..

If you open your chain manager you'll see you have 3 chains instead of one.

 

Click the 1st entity then the last and nothing in between.

try clicking on the wait check box in the chaining parameters

When using a partial you only need to click the first and the last entity in the chain

 

 

BTW, you can also use chain, click the chain and the click the last entity and you will get a partail chain instead

I use John's Method. I do not really like the wait function all that much.
