mazak integrex and mcx2

Wow do a search because I could write a book just about the Integrex and programming it. You need to have lathe and 2,3,4 and 5 axis mill experience. You need to have set-up, operation, and inspection experience. That is just the basics for an Integrex, if you are weak in any area it is going to show quick and there is a learning curve even if you are good at some of the areas a lot need to be taken into account. Timing, part swapping between spindles, Length of parts to be machined. Are you only going to do basic turning with basic milling? Are you going to use it as a mill sometimes and do no turning. We do this about 20% of the time on our machine. We have some parts that get 20 index positions on the last operation, but all milling operations. We have made a trunnion table for our machine and have bolted plates to them and machine them complete like a 5 axis mill. Sky is the limit with these machines. Mazatrol is a whole different topic and subject on to itself for these machines. Great reference material on here. There is also a Integrex web site www.integrexmachinist.com.

HTH but a lot to cover ans specific question will be better than a general topic of discussion as in the way you have wored your question.

Why dont you?

I'd buy it biggrin.gif

Ron could you show some pics of the trunnion table?

The post is the key, don't buy the Integrex without buying the post from In-house.

nothing really different expect for the highspeed machining and advanced 5 axis toolpaths. You will be fine on that point, Like mentioned get the IN-HOUSE post do not settle for anything else!!!! X3 that is coming out around who know when may or may not have something possible or possible not for Integrex's so we will just have to wait and see what comes there.
