losing files!

Alright I keep making this program and after I post it it disapears. I save it as a specific file name to the same place as I save all of my other files but this one file keeps disapearing on me! banghead.gif

Does anyone else ever encounter a problem like this? I have not changed anything as to where I save things or how they are saved, so I am completley frustrated. Every time I want to change something about the program I have to draw it again and re post it only for mastercam to tell me when I save it "this file already exists..overwrite" curse.gif WTF! if it already exists then where the hell is it?!

goto

windows explorer, tools, folder options, view, and click show hidden files and folders.

you should now be able to see this file if in fact it was hidden.

right click on it and check the attributes.

Does the 'blank' successful load show any entities listed in 'screen statistics' ??

You don't have any spaces in your file name by any chance, do you?

I had a problem with that years back on V9. The MC9 file would open but no entities found. I had space(s) in the file name. Since adding an underline or whatever (no spaces), I never had that problem again.

Just throwing out straws...

I put spaces in almost all of my other files, with no problem. and I can open and post all of my old files just peachy, so I have absolutely no idea what is going on here.

I am in the process of closing mastercam and re-opening it to check if it shows up, if not I am gonna try to draw it again and see what happens.
