Colored faces on a solid

MC does not recognize different colored faces on a solid. How common is this among other CAD or CAM systems? Can we make a list of softwares that you know do or do not recognize different colored faces?

 

I'm taking a little flack over it (like I write the code ) and wondered if "everyone else does it" is really true.

Topsolid allows coloring individual faces of a solid.

Bruce, do you have specific titles that you can add to the list?

 

Not only am I interested in software that can create different colored faces, I'm also interested in CAM software that can read in other system's files that have colored faces.

If you need to see the colors it will work if you bring it in as surfaces. I would like to see this work on solids as well.

To clarify about Topsolid...

 

I can create a solid, change the color of a face, save it as a parasolid, and open the parasolid in Topsolid and the face is colored.
