OUT of bounds error...

Hello, neat forum.

I'm new to MasterCam, but have created a simple 5-axis program to make sure my post is working properly. The problem is that when I post, the g-code spits out some unruley coordinates:

N290 S18000 M03

N300 G01 G90 G52 L1

N310 G94 A0. C0. X0. Y0. F1000.

N320 G01 A45.0022 C92.5047

N330 G01 X716.0212 Y-29.2216 F1000.

N340 Z8.

N350 M31 S18000

N360 Z-283.9167

My X and Z movements are way out of bounds.

When I sent the Mastercam file to another mastercam programmer (different post) it posted fine for him.

What settings can I tweak to make this work?

Try doing some toolpaths with the spindle vertical.

It will be easy to read the posted code to see if it's correct.. Once you get good code with vertical tool paths lay the head over and try a couple at A90. THen A90 B90 etc

If you use simple toolpaths with whole numbers you can usualy figure out how much you are off, which is the first step in figuring out why..

Dizzyhawk,

I was thinking the same thing as CNCPAREDES.

It looks like you may have mixed output with some axes posting inches and others posting mm. Try converting the strange outputs from mm to inch and see if the values are then correct. biggrin.gif

Shouldn't be too difficult to fix, but as gcode said, find out the exact cause first before making any changes. wink.gif

BTW...welcome aboard Dizzyhawk and CNCPAREDES! cheers.gif
